Obscenity Outrage: Complaint Filed Over Alleged Misconduct in Online University Prep Class
A formal complaint has been filed at Dhaka's Bhatara Police Station by a concerned guardian over an incident involving alleged obscenity during a live online class conducted by a university admission preparation platform. The incident, which took place on July 8, reportedly left a negative impression on both students and parents.
The complaint, lodged on Wednesday, July 9, by Ashraf Bijoy, states: “Around midnight on July 8, during a live online class, a male and a female were seen engaging in deliberately indecent behavior. This has dishonored the professional dignity of teachers.” He also noted that video footage of the incident exists and could serve as evidence of the alleged offense.
Speaking to the media, Ashraf Bijoy said, “As a parent, I have filed this complaint at the police station due to the indecency being spread. I demand justice for the misconduct committed by both the instructors and the institution involved.”
The video, which has since gone viral, originated from the YouTube channel of Anneshon Coaching Center. In it, a teacher and a female instructor are seen engaging in a kiss during a live class session. After its circulation on social media, the clip sparked widespread criticism. According to both parents and students, the gestures and conduct exhibited in the video openly question the integrity of the academic environment.
Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mazharul Islam stated, “If the allegations are substantiated upon investigation, appropriate legal action will be taken against those responsible.”
