ISP United Unveils Ambitious Agenda Ahead of ISPAB 2025-27 Elections

Campaigning is gaining momentum ahead of the executive committee elections of the Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) for the 2025–2027 term. On Wednesday night, the only full panel contesting the election—ISP United—held an introductory meeting at Fortis Downtown Resort on 100 Feet Road in Dhaka. In the presence of more than 150 members, the panel presented its action plan and unveiled a 14-point manifesto.
The pledges include safeguarding ISP rights, advocating for fair regulatory policies, decentralizing organizational structures, facilitating local data center setups by global CDN companies, providing legal support against encroachers, ensuring fair bandwidth transmission pricing, and introducing insurance coverage. A key structural reform proposed is a provision barring elected representatives from running for two consecutive terms.
The panel also outlined initiatives to create new business avenues for ISPs, including IPTV/OTT services, home automation, calling apps, parental control systems, and AI-driven cybersecurity services. Other commitments include launching dual-currency corporate credit cards, establishing a dedicated member service desk, and expanding the successful Dhanmondi Active Sharing Project to other regions through broader fiber-sharing initiatives.
Team lead Aminul Haque stated, “Our industry must be driven forward with unity, transparency, and tech-based leadership. No one can achieve anything alone. We will move forward together, stay united, and build a strong, dignified ISP community.”
Following his remarks, Haque introduced the panel candidates. First to speak were Nazmul Karim Bhuiyan, current General Secretary and Managing Director of KS Network Limited, and Saiful Islam Siddique, former Senior Vice President of the 2021–2023 executive committee and Managing Director of ICC Communication Limited, who both appealed for voter support.
Also speaking were Moine Uddin Ahmed, CEO of Red Data Pvt. Limited and a former ISPAB executive; Asaduzzaman Sujon, current EC member and Managing Director of Antorongo Dot Com Limited; and Mahbub Alam Raju, CEO of Circle Network. Additional candidates who addressed the members included Neyamul Haque Khan, Chairman of Mazeda Networks Limited; Md. Mithu Howlader, CTO of Invention Technologies Limited; and Rashedur Rahman Rajon, Managing Director of One Sky Communications Limited.
Describing his own role in the team, Saiful Islam Siddique said, “We are ISP United. Together, we aim to usher in a new chapter in IP-based business. As carriers of artificial intelligence and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we want to take the country’s broadband internet service to new milestones.”
