For Bangladeshi workers aspiring to go abroad, bureaucratic delays and inconveniences in obtaining BMET (Bureau of Manpower, Employment, and Training) clearance have long been a challenge. Every year, many dreams remain unfulfilled due to the failure to secure the emigration clearance on time. However, since 2023, migrant workers can now obtain their clearance certificates from home, without travel or additional expenses, thanks to Ami Probashi, the world's first one-stop migration service app.

Step-by-Step Process for BMET Clearance Application

To apply for emigration clearance, applicants must first complete BMET registration and the Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) course. Following this, they can apply directly through the Ami Probashi app. Alternatively, if applying through a Recruiting Agency (RA), the agency will process the application via its designated portal.

Applicants must submit the following documents for clearance approval: BMET registration number, PDO certificate or academic qualifications, passport, visa, a contract on a BDT 300 stamp paper, and a guardian’s consent (for women migrating to certain countries). Additionally, bank account details, a one-stop service form (for one-stop applicants only), a medical test report, and job contracts (for recruiting agency applicants) may be required. Some countries may also mandate additional documentation.

Online Application and Payment Process

For online applications, applicants must first pay a BDT 50 application fee. They are then required to attend an interview at the BMET office with all necessary documents. Once submitted, the application undergoes multi-stage verification by BMET officials. Upon final approval, applicants or recruiting agencies must pay the government fees and application charges. After completing the payment, both individuals and agencies can download the BMET Smart Emigration Clearance Card.
