X Agrees to Pay $10 Million in Settlement Over Trump Lawsuit

Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter and owned by Elon Musk, has agreed to pay $10 million in damages in a lawsuit filed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. Reuters also reported the development.
In January 2021, following the attack on Capitol Hill by Trump supporters, his account on X was banned. Subsequently, Trump filed lawsuits against Facebook, Google, and X, alleging that his voice had been suppressed.
Last month, Meta agreed to pay $25 million in settlement for the lawsuit brought by Trump. While Trump’s legal team initially considered pursuing the case against X, they ultimately decided to reach a settlement.
The report further stated that Musk has donated $250 million to Trump’s election campaign and is currently serving as the head of the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency.
Meanwhile, Trump's legal team is still negotiating a settlement with Google. However, no official comments have been made by X, Google, or the White House regarding the matter.
