Teachers Foundation training held at JUST

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) Foundation Training Workshop was held for the newly joined teachers to improve their skills in learning, reading and office management. On the closing day of the workshop, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yabi Prabir was present as the chief guest. Md. Anwar Hossain. 

The three-day workshop was organized by the University's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This foundation training workshop was organized for the first time to improve the teaching quality of university teachers. In this workshop, experienced faculty members from different universities of Bangladesh including JUST provided training on various topics as trainers. The training workshop concluded on Saturday, June 29 at the Central Gallery of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building, JUST.

In the speech of the chief guest, Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said to the teachers, 'You are the artisans of making people. As you build people, society will get people. A teacher does not mean going to class, teaching, a teacher is someone who can be imitated. In a long speech, he shed light on various issues including teachers' skills acquisition, process, transparency, responsibility in the field of teaching-learning.

Director of IQAC Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Hasan presided over the closing ceremony of the workshop and spoke further on the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Technology of Yabi Prabir. Md. Sirajul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Md. Munibur Rahman, Associate Professor of Gene Engineering and Biotechnology Department of Dhaka University. Mushtaq Ibn Ayub, Lecturer of Chemistry Department. Ahad Ali, Lecturer of Climate and Disaster Management Department Naharin Jannat and others. Additional director of IQAC conducted the program. Md.
