Students of Chittagong Textile Engineering College formed Human Chain with 5-point Demands
The students of Zorarganj Textile Engineering College in Mirsrai, Chittagong formed a human chain with five-point demands including solving the teacher crisis, passing individual recruitment rules and taking legal action against the culprits to prevent irregularities and corruption. On Sunday (September 15) at noon, the students formed a human chain at the college gate of the Zorarganj-Muhuri project road of the Upazila.
The students in the human chain demanded to solve the teacher crisis in the college as soon as possible, suspend the 2014 recruitment rules and pass individual recruitment rules for the college immediately, create a textile education department or cell in the textile department by experienced teachers of the college, not to promote to higher posts in the college without teaching experience in the college, a Creation of common organogram, legal action to be taken against corrupt officials. If the demands are not met immediately, the protest will be on a larger scale.
Saberul, a student who participated in the human chain, said, 'Human chain was held simultaneously in seven textile engineering colleges with five-point demands. If the demands are not met immediately, the program will be given on a larger scale'. Students Faisal, Sagar, Rabbani, Sohan and others spoke on the occasion.
