PM unveiled Independence Day commemorative postage and stamps
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled commemorative postage stamps on the occasion of 'Independence and National Day-2024' in a ceremony at the official residence Ganabhaban on Tuesday in the morning.
A special seal was also used in the ceremony.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak; Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Department Abu Hena Morshed Zaman; Director General of Postal Directorate Tarun Kanti Sikder and other officials were present.
Philatelic Bureau of Dhaka GPO will start selling stamps, first day covers and data cards on Wednesday. These will later be available at other GPOs and Head Post Offices across the country.
