Reaffirming commitments toward establishing an accountable, transparent, and citizen-centric land administration system, Minister for Land Mizanur Rahman Minu and State Minister for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, MP, have directed authorities to complete the Land Management Automation Project with maximum accuracy and speed. The directives were delivered during a high-level review session titled "Land Management Automation Project, Data Entry Progress and Learnings" held on Monday, 12 October at the conference room of the Ministry of Land at the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Land and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the review was attended by Land Secretary Emdadul Haque Chowdhury. The leadership emphasized that the core mandate of the government is to maintain operational quality while safeguarding the interests of landholders. Officials were strictly instructed to ensure that marginalized citizens can easily access digital land services without administrative friction, procedural bottlenecks, or technical errors.

A projector-based progress presentation on the "Land Data Digitization for Inclusive Growth for Land Management Automation Project" was delivered by Project Manager Md. Kamal Hossain and Senior National Consultant for the Resilience and Inclusive Growth Cluster (former Director General) Md. Atikul Haque. Field records revealed that automation milestones were executed across 112 land offices covering 32 upazilas or revenue circles across three districts in Dhaka Division through three phased rollouts: February–June 2025 (pre-pilot), August–December 2025 (pilot), and February–August 2026 (second phase).

UNDP Bangladesh representatives Md. Atikul Haque and Md. Kamal Hossain noted that their strategic priority centers on bringing marginal landholders under digital governance to ensure inclusive tenure security. Key operational activities highlighted during the session included specialized technical training for field officers and data entry operators, granular union-to-upazila data mapping, collection of manual mutation records, holding-level verification, data error correction, and centralized database integration. Additionally, 5-day specialized camps are being hosted across unions to facilitate the creation of personal digital land profiles. The UNDP reaffirmed its continued technical support and monitoring to maintain uncompromising data integrity, official sources confirmed. //DBTech/MRK/SMP/BPO//
