Teton Private Limited has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) powered 12-lead portable ECG device named 'MyECGAI Pro' in Bangladesh. The device enables users to record cardiac electrical activity at home or on the go according to their convenience. Following a 30-second recording session, the device generates a digital PDF report that can be shared instantly with registered medical practitioners.
The portable ECG device was officially unveiled on Sunday (October 11) during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Dhaka Hotel in Banani. Professor Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), attended as the chief guest. Professor (Dr.) Khondker Abdul Awal Rizvi, President of the National Heart Foundation, was present as the special guest. Teton Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Mizan Rahman, alongside investors, physicians, business partners, technology sector representatives, media personnel, and invited guests participated in the event.
Speaking at the launch, Teton CEO Dr. Mizan Rahman emphasized that technology is effective when it addresses real-life human needs, noting that Teton aims to make healthcare technology accessible as a practical solution rather than just a consumer product. Dr. Athar Uddin, Chairman of Azmat Group, delivered remarks on behalf of the investors.
'MyECGAI Pro' is an easily portable 12-lead ECG device that allows users to record heart rhythms anywhere. It reduces the frequency of routine diagnostic center visits while facilitating quick remote consultation during cardiovascular discomfort. Medical experts at the event advised that portable ECG reports should complement rather than substitute professional clinical evaluation, stressing that patients experiencing acute cardiovascular symptoms must seek immediate emergency medical care.
The launch included an audiovisual presentation detailing product development, a live demonstration, and an interactive Q&A session with media representatives.
