Addressing rising geopolitical frictions within telecommunications infrastructure and state-level digital defenses, Beijing has urged Washington to de-escalate technological disputes through direct bilateral cybersecurity dialogues. Speaking at a regular media briefing in Beijing on 09 October, Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning called on the United States to abandon double standards and political maneuvers to collectively mitigate cyber security risks through constructive negotiations.

Clarifying the nation's technical defense policies and regulatory stance on network vulnerabilities, Mao Ning stated that China firmly opposes all unauthorized system incursions, countering illicit hacking operations in strict accordance with the law.

The spokesperson further emphasized that China vehemently rejects using digital ecosystems to weaponize state-sponsored disinformation for political objectives. Fostering a secure, stable, and resilient global cyberspace requires mutual technical transparency, cross-border intelligence-sharing frameworks, and non-politicized technical collaboration rather than selective accusations and geopolitical posturing, the briefing underscored.
