According to a report by technology magazine MacRumors, an analysis of Apple’s proprietary software code has uncovered specific details about the second-generation model, the HomePod mini 2.
The new device is expected to launch globally this autumn, potentially alongside the official debut of Apple’s new voice assistant, Siri AI.
Design and Colour Variants
According to leaked information, the HomePod mini 2 will retain much of the original model’s exterior design, with no major changes expected. However, it may offer a wider range of colour options, with the device reportedly available in five attractive shades: green, pink, light blue, white and black.
The first-generation model, launched in October 2020, was available in yellow, orange and dark blue, among other colours. The new version is also expected to feature a faster, more advanced chip or processor to support AI-powered features and execute voice commands more quickly.
