CUET Set to Celebrate 24th University Day

- Events include an international energy lecture, rally, WASA water pipeline foundation laying, and bus handover
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), a premier institution of technological and engineering studies in Bangladesh, is set to celebrate its 24th University Day with grand two-day festivities on August 31 and September 1, 2026.
During a press conference held on August 30, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem and Media Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Deb outlined the detailed event roadmap to journalists.
The first day, August 31, features a dynamic Club Fest alongside an international technical seminar on energy engineering. MP Ershad Ullah will grace the session as chief guest, while Dr. Ir. Mohammad Azuan Bin Juansas from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia, will deliver the keynote lecture to over 250 researchers and engineers.
On September 1, Minister of Finance and Planning Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, will inaugurate the main event. Key highlights include an inaugural procession, a tree-planting drive, laying the foundation stone for the Chittagong WASA water supply line, and the official keys handover of six university buses donated by the Alhaj Jasim Uddin Foundation.
