Hyderabad-based STAR Cancer Centre, a specialized unit of STAR Hospitals, has officially launched a free 'Second Opinion' and treatment guidance program for cancer patients in Bangladesh. This initiative allows patients to consult seasoned Indian oncologists and review their diagnosis before traveling abroad.

Data provided by STAR Cancer Centre indicates that Bangladesh sees approximately 167,000 to 187,000 new cancer cases annually. Breast, lung, cervical, and gastrointestinal cancers are the most widely reported, requiring organ-specific, precise, and targeted therapeutic strategies right from the initial diagnosis stage.

Dr. Bipin Goel, Senior Consultant and Head of Surgical Oncology at STAR Hospitals, highlighted that patients often struggle under immense emotional stress when choosing treatments. "A second opinion from an expert panel brings complete clarity, transparency, and confidence before starting major procedures," he noted.

Along with evaluation by medical, surgical, and radiation oncology experts, STAR Cancer Centre will assist patients with travel planning, cost estimations, and visa documentation. Equipped with advanced technology like the TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, Robotic Cancer Surgery, and CAR-T Cell Therapy, patients can access these services by reaching out via their official website (www.starhospitals.in).
