Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD has recorded its third consecutive month of global sales growth, with strong international demand driving a significant increase in July deliveries. Although growth in China's domestic market showed signs of moderation, robust overseas sales more than compensated for the slowdown.

Record Sales Performance

According to Reuters' calculations based on BYD's official sales statement released on Saturday, the company sold 419,211 vehicles in July, representing a 21.8 percent increase compared with the same month last year.

The July performance is being viewed as another major milestone for the company, reinforcing BYD's position as one of the world's fastest-growing electric vehicle manufacturers.

Exports Reach New High

The strongest growth came from international markets. BYD's overseas shipments—including passenger vehicles and pickup trucks—rose 124.3 percent year-on-year to a record 179,841 units in July.

The record-breaking export performance highlights the rapidly expanding global demand for BYD vehicles and underscores the company's growing international footprint.

Despite facing some challenges in China's domestic market, BYD has successfully offset weaker local demand through continued overseas expansion. Its sustained growth in the global electric vehicle market is further strengthening the company's position as a leading international EV manufacturer.
