Amidst the ongoing HSC examinees' protests, digital technology is being heavily misused to flood social media with hundreds of fake photocards and misleading misinformation. By exaggerating the genuine plight of students affected by heavy rains and sudden floods, conspirators have craftily demanded the Education Minister's resignation and subjected him to intense trolling as part of an ongoing propaganda campaign. In particular, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan has faced severe backlash following the leak of an incomplete audio recording.

A deep technological analysis of the leaked audio reveals it to be a product of clever editing. During a conversation regarding his own daughter, the Minister had used the term "farm chicken" (broiler chicken) as a metaphor. However, by cutting out the preceding and succeeding parts of the audio and releasing only that specific segment, the entire phone conversation was maliciously distorted into a highly controversial statement. A closer listen easily reveals that he was merely drawing a comparison involving his own daughter.

Following the spread of this fragmented audio, the virtual world has been abuzz since Tuesday (July 14) night, with trolls labeling the Education Minister as "Chicken Milan." On Tuesday, the Minister stood up in the National Parliament to address the issue, expressing regret over what he termed a personal conversation. He stated, "Many have objected to my personal remarks. I did not say anything to intentionally hurt anyone. If anyone's feelings have been hurt, I simply express my regrets." He also announced that the postponed exams of the Chittagong Board would be rescheduled and held using a new set of question papers.

  • Manipulated Media: Deep tech analysis confirms that the leaked audio of Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milan was maliciously edited out of context to spark controversy and trolling.

  • Minister's Response: The Minister expressed regret in Parliament for his personal remarks and announced that the postponed Chittagong Board exams will be held with a new set of question papers.

  • Protests & Warnings: While political groups warn against "fallen autocracy" rumors on social media, a section of students has called for a "Long March" to the Education Ministry, though exams nationwide (excluding Chittagong) will proceed as scheduled.

Amidst this tense situation, the BNP Media Cell issued a warning on Facebook, asserting that the fallen autocratic Awami League is spreading these fake photocards in an attempt to create confusion through rumors. They urged the public not to share any information without verifying it from reliable sources.

On the other hand, fueled by instigations on digital platforms, a section of the protesting students announced a "Long March" program towards the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (July 15) following the HSC exam. The call for the Long March was made through a poster published on a Facebook page named "Broiler Chicken Party," scheduled for 1:30 PM today starting from the BNS Center in Uttara. Despite these provocative social media campaigns, the government and the Ministry of Education have confirmed that examinations across all other boards will proceed as scheduled, except for the postponed Chittagong Board.
