TikTok removed over 13.2 million videos in Bangladesh during Q1 2026 for violating guidelines. Millions of fake accounts and comments were also deleted globally.

TikTok has released its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the first quarter of 2026, covering data from January to March. The report highlights the platform's stringent efforts to detect and remove content that violates its core community guidelines.

According to the report, TikTok removed a total of 13,218,004 videos in Bangladesh during Q1 2026 due to guideline violations, representing approximately 0.8% of the total content uploaded in the country. Impressively, 99.6% of these videos were proactively removed before any user reports, and 94.4% were taken down within 24 hours of posting. Following subsequent reviews, 320,593 videos were later restored to the platform. Globally, TikTok removed 184,012,576 videos during the same timeframe.

Beyond videos, TikTok continued its clampdown on inappropriate comments and fake accounts. In Q1 2026, a staggering 237,517,128 comments were removed globally, up from the previous quarter. To ensure safety, TikTok deleted 86,288,705 fake accounts and terminated 25,764,372 accounts suspected to belong to users under the age of 13. TikTok stated that its AI-driven moderation system has become more efficient at removing content before it gains views. Among the removed videos, 18.6% contained sensitive content, 16.5% involved dangerous activities, 12.9% featured inappropriate behavior, and 2.1% were flagged as manipulated or AI-generated content (AIGC).
