ICT Ministry Pushes Faster Execution of Digital Transformation Projects

The government has directed authorities to accelerate and effectively implement the ongoing development projects under Bangladesh’s Information and Communication Technology Division in order to further strengthen the country’s technological transformation initiatives.

The directive was issued on Saturday, May 23, during the review meeting of the revised Annual Development Programme (RADP) for May 2026, held at the ICT Tower in Agargaon, Dhaka.

The meeting was attended by Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam as the chief guest, representing the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

In his speech, the minister urged all concerned to work with sincerity and responsibility to ensure that technology-driven services reach people at the grassroots level. He also instructed all affiliated organizations to take coordinated initiatives to make the country’s digital transformation sustainable.

The meeting was chaired by ICT Division Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain. Discussions focused on the ongoing activities of the division, the actual progress of various development projects, and future action plans.

During the session, project directors from different ICT Division initiatives presented updates on the current progress of their respective projects along with their digital implementation roadmaps. Senior officials of the Information and Communication Technology Division and representatives from related agencies were also present at the meeting.
