Bangladeshi information technology company Smart Lab has expanded its IT and cloud services into the Nepalese market by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nepal’s leading marketing and communications service provider Outreach Nepal.

The agreement was signed on Saturday at the Himalaya Hotel in Nepal. Founder and Strategic Planning Director of Outreach, Ujaya Shakya, along with representatives from Smart Lab, were present at the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, Smart Lab will provide advanced IT solutions, system integration, and cloud services in the Nepalese market.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smart Lab, Riyad Hasnain, said the company is contributing to strengthening Bangladesh’s foreign currency reserves by exporting IT services and bringing remittances into the country. He noted that, following collaborations with 15 countries including the United States, Singapore, Switzerland, and China, the company has now expanded its operations to Nepal.

Smart Lab works in system integration, software development, IT operations management, and messaging solutions. The company, a subsidiary of Smart Voice Limited, currently serves more than 50 corporate and banking sector clients in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Outreach Nepal has been operating in Nepal’s advertising and marketing industry since 2003 and has received several international recognitions.

Stakeholders expressed hope that the partnership will further strengthen technological cooperation and regional digital connectivity between Bangladesh and Nepal.
