Grameenphone Launches Sundarbans-Themed Digital GP Center in Khulna

Grameenphone, the country’s SMP telecom operator, has launched a new GP Center (GPC) in Khulna, a district in the southwestern region of Bangladesh. Announcing the development on Sunday, 16 May, the operator said the new center has been designed around the theme of the Sundarbans and features artworks created by local artists.

According to the company, the center has been established to ensure faster problem resolution for customers, provide personalised support, and offer easier access to Grameenphone’s digital services.

A press release stated that Grameenphone Chief Technology Officer Joy Prakash inaugurated the new center. During the event, he also directly assisted a customer regarding the operator’s “GPFi” service.

Others present at the programme included Khulna GPC Partner Sheikh Mahmud Hasan (Sohel), Khulna Circle Business Head Md. Ahsan Habib, and Head of Customer Experience and Service Abdullah Al Mahmud.

Grameenphone also said the new center is being operated under a 99 percent paperless customer service model, which is expected to improve efficiency and transparency while ensuring environmentally friendly service delivery.
