AI Academy Advances: Skill Systems Strengthen Smart Bangladesh Strategy
To address the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and develop a skilled workforce, the workshop titled ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Training: Development of Youth Society’ Workshop-2026 has been formally inaugurated at the Youth Development Academy in Savar. On Wednesday, 15 April, State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque inaugurated the training program as the chief guest.
Speaking at the inaugural program, the State Minister said that artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as the key driving force of technological transformation in the modern world. AI is opening new horizons in every sector, including education, agriculture, healthcare, and industry. In particular, AI-based training can create personalized learning opportunities for each student and directly connect skills with employment. Following the models of developed countries, the government is working to advance Bangladesh along this technology-driven trajectory.
Emphasizing ethics in the use of technology, the State Minister further said that AI can sometimes pose risks of unethical activities; therefore, its proper and constructive use must be ensured. He urged trainees to disseminate the knowledge gained at the grassroots level. At the same time, he directed that AI technologies must be inclusive, ensuring that women and marginalized communities are not left out, and that transparency and accountability are maintained in this regard.
Special guests at the event included Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam and Director General of the Department of Youth Development Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman. The event was chaired by Principal of the Youth Development Academy Selim Khan.
Speakers expressed hope that through this training, the country’s youth community will be enriched with world-class skills, which will play a significant role in building a Smart Bangladesh.
