CUET Launches Ultrasound Service to Upgrade Digital Diagnostics

Ultrasonography services have been launched at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). The service was inaugurated on Wednesday, April 8, by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan.

Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of Planning and Development Professor Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain; Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Professor Dr. Kazi Afzalur Rahman; Director of the Directorate of Student Welfare Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam; Director of the Central Research Laboratory Professor Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Ullah; In-Charge of CUET Medical Center and Deputy Director of Student Welfare Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Islam; Senior Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Khorshed Alam, were also present at the program.

During the inauguration, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan urged all concerned to operate the ultrasonography services responsibly and with a humanitarian approach. He said that various initiatives have been undertaken to modernize the CUET Medical Center. An out-of-service ambulance has already been repaired and made operational, a psychologist has been appointed, and modern medical equipment and instruments have been added.

To make medical services more accessible, efficient, and advanced, the Vice Chancellor instructed the concerned authorities to undertake a vertical extension of the building, procure more modern medical equipment, and recruit additional manpower.
