Campus Cashless Connectivity: CUET, Pubali Bank Sign Digital Banking MoU
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Pubali Bank PLC. Under this agreement, modern and automated banking services will be ensured for CUET students.
The agreement was signed on 2 April, Thursday evening at the office of the CUET Vice-Chancellor. On behalf of the university, Registrar (Additional Charge) Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, and on behalf of Pubali Bank, Manager of the Madunaghat Branch Rashidul Hasan Bhuiyan, signed the agreement. CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya was present on the occasion.
Under the agreement, Pubali Bank will establish a state-of-the-art digital banking booth at the TSC building of CUET. The booth will include two CRM (Cash Recycling Machine) units, along with one RTDM (Real-Time Deposit Machine) and one KEOSK system. Through this booth, students will be able to access online transaction services for 16 hours daily. Tuition fees and other payments can be made via mobile apps or digital systems, eliminating the need to stand in long queues at bank counters.
Additionally, the system will allow students to view payment history and download receipts through automated processes. Facilities such as student loans and various financial assistance options will also be available. The university administration hopes that this initiative will play a significant role in expanding modern service systems on campus.
The event was also attended by Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam, Director of the Student Welfare Department of CUET, along with other senior teachers and officials.
