Microsoft has finalized the date for its annual Xbox Games Showcase, which will be held on June 7. Immediately following the main event, a separate one-hour “Direct” presentation dedicated to Gears of War: E-Day will take place, according to Engadget.

This will be the first major event under the leadership of Sharma Asha, who has recently taken on the role of Chief Executive of Microsoft Gaming. The showcase is expected to feature updates on upcoming titles such as Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Minecraft Dungeons 2.

Marking Xbox’s 25th anniversary, the fan-focused event “FanFest” will also return. It will be hosted in Los Angeles, United States, the same city that hosts the Summer Game Fest.

Notably, Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel to the series, first announced in 2024. There is also a possibility that Microsoft may provide hints about its next-generation console, currently codenamed “Project Helix.”
