Bangladesh Railway Sells Advance Intercity Train Tickets Online for 26 March
For the convenience of passengers, Bangladesh Railway is selling seven-day advance tickets for intercity trains entirely online. As part of this initiative, advance tickets are being sold on Monday, 16 March, for passengers wishing to return to their workplaces on 26 March after the holidays.
Ticket sales for all intercity train seats in the railway’s western zone began online at 8:00 am. Meanwhile, advance ticket sales for seats on all intercity trains in the eastern zone will begin at 2:00 pm.
Earlier, tickets for 23 March were sold on 13 March, tickets for 24 March on 14 March, and tickets for 25 March on 15 March.
In addition, according to a decision by Bangladesh Railway, tickets for 27 March will be sold on 17 March, tickets for 28 March on 18 March, and tickets for 29 March on 19 March. Ticket sales for 20, 21, and 22 March will be conducted based on the sighting of the moon.
At passengers’ request, 25 percent standing tickets for non-AC coaches will be available for collection from the originating station before the start of the journey.
It is noteworthy that during the Eid travel period, a passenger will be able to purchase advance tickets only once, with a maximum of four seats per transaction. No tickets issued for Eid travel will be refundable.
