Huawei Harvests Eight GLOMO Awards at MWC Barcelona 2026

Huawei has won eight Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026 held in Barcelona, Spain. The company received the awards in recognition of its contributions to mobile technology, network innovation, and digital services.

The awards won by Huawei include Best Mobile Network Infrastructure, Best AI-Powered Network Solution, Best Non-Terrestrial Network Solution, Best Mobile Operator Service for Connected Consumers, Best Mobile Innovation for Connected Health and Wellbeing, Best Fintech and Digital Commerce Innovation, Best Use of Mobile for Accessibility and Inclusion, and Best Mobile Innovation for Enhancing the Lives of Children and Young People.

The GLOMO Awards, organized by the GSMA, are considered one of the most prestigious recognitions in the mobile industry. These awards are presented annually to organizations and individuals for their significant contributions to mobile technology and innovative services.

On Sunday, 15 March, Huawei Bangladesh stated that its network solutions—integrating ultra-broadband, multi-antenna, and energy-efficient technologies—are supporting the development of 5G networks across all frequency bands. These solutions enable operators to build AI-driven and easily deployable networks that ensure high performance while consuming less power.

In AI-powered network operations, Huawei and China Mobile have jointly developed an “AI Plus Network” operation solution. Meanwhile, China Telecom and Huawei have created a satellite communication–based non-terrestrial network solution.

Huawei also secured several GLOMO Awards through joint initiatives with various organizations, including Indonesian telecom operator Telkomsel and African operator Safaricom.

The company said that during the global technology exhibition in Barcelona, it showcased its latest network technologies, AI-driven solutions, and digital services.
