Internet in Iran Nears Total Blackout After US-Israel Strikes
Internet connectivity in Iran has dropped to near blackout levels following joint strikes by the United States and Israel.
Global internet monitoring organization NetBlocks said in a post on social media that network data indicate Iran is now experiencing a “near-total internet blackout.” According to the organization, internet connectivity in the country has fallen to just 4 percent.
NetBlocks further stated that the disruption occurred amid ongoing military operations by the United States and Israel.
A similar measure had been taken during last year’s Israel–Iran war.
