Actor Fakhrul Bashar Masum Shares Emotional Message on Dr. Muhammad Yunus
Veteran actor Fakhrul Bashar Masum has shared an emotional status on social media regarding recently departed Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus. On Thursday, February 26, Masum posted a photograph taken with Yunus and expressed his feelings.
In his post, Masum wrote that he had spent several days in the company of Dr. Yunus in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when Yunus received the highest civilian honor from then King Abdullah. Recalling that experience, the actor stated, “From what I understood about you at that time, it was not at all right for you to take responsibility for this country.”
According to him, in times of national crisis, those who come forward as saviors are initially honored by the public, but once the crisis passes, those same individuals often face harsh criticism.
Referring to this reality, he wrote, “Historically, in this country, when someone comes forward to rescue the nation during a crisis, people first lift them on their shoulders and celebrate them. But once the crisis is over, that rescuer becomes the highest-level accused in the country. This is the reality here. You should never have taken on the responsibility of handling the country’s crisis. Stay well, stay healthy.”
