Junior Scholarship Results Published Online: 46,200 Students Selected

The results of the Junior Scholarship Examination, held after a gap of 17 years, were published simultaneously online and offline. A total of 46,200 students have been selected under two categories. Among them, 14,700 students received scholarships in the Talent Pool category, while 31,500 were selected under the General category.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon officially announced the results at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 25. The results were made available online from that time. The division-wise results were published on the website of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.

Also present during the announcement were Education and Primary and Mass Education State Minister Bobi Hajjaj; President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, Professor Dr. Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir; and Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee and Controller of Examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, Professor S M Kamal Uddin Haider.

Responding to a question from journalists after the publication of the results, Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon said he was not aware of the promotion of 82 employees working under the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education and its affiliated institutions to the post of Assistant Upazila Secondary Education Officer (ATEO). However, he said he would look into the matter of the promotion of these 82 officials—who were previously serving as Stenographer-cum-Computer Operator, Head Assistant, Upper Division Assistant, Accountant and in other positions—to the 10th grade.

The Directorate of Education has informed that students can check the results online by visiting the website of the Directorate of Primary Education and selecting the “Scholarship Result” option, then entering the roll number and year (2026). Alternatively, results can be obtained via mobile SMS by typing the name of the board, roll number, and year and sending the message to 16222. The result will be returned in a reply message.

It has been learned that approximately 350,000 students across the country participated in this year’s Junior Scholarship Examination. The examination commenced simultaneously on December 28 at 611 centers nationwide and was held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Bangla examination was held on the first day, followed by English on December 29 and Mathematics on December 30. The examinations for Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies, scheduled for December 31, were postponed due to the death of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. The postponed examinations were later held on January 6.

Students who passed the examination and received Talent Pool scholarships will receive a one-time annual grant of Tk 560 and a monthly stipend of Tk 450. Those awarded General scholarships will receive Tk 350 annually and Tk 300 per month. The scholarship benefits will continue for the next two years.
