Duke’s Digital Distinction: Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Honored at UK Parliament
In recognition of his long-standing contributions and innovative leadership in the field of information technology, Bangladeshi IT expert Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke has been awarded multiple prestigious international honors. The accolades were recently conferred at a grand ceremony held at the House of Commons in the British Parliament, United Kingdom.
At the event, the ‘FloraBank Core Banking Software’, developed under the leadership of Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, received special recognition as one of the world’s leading core banking software solutions.
The commemorative award was formally presented to him by Baroness Manzila Uddin at the House of Lords of the British Parliament. At the same ceremony, Maryland State University, USA, conferred upon him an Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa/PhD) degree in recognition of his leadership and innovative role in delivering global IT solutions.
Expressing his feelings about the achievement, Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke extended his gratitude to his family, colleagues, mentors, and well-wishers across the globe. He said that the recognition would inspire him to work with even greater responsibility and dedication in the future. He also reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to the advancement of global technology with renewed goals and initiatives.
As part of his UK visit, he delivered a keynote address at the Thatcher Business Education Centre of the University of Oxford on the topic, “The Future of Banking Innovation: Integrating AI and Machine Learning.” His research-based presentation on the future impact and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in the banking sector received widespread praise from international experts.
