ICC Communication to Launch Data Centre at Mirpur
High-capacity, high-speed internet service provider ICC Communication Limited is set to establish its own data centre, marking a significant step in expanding digital infrastructure across Bangladesh. The company will set up its first data centre in the Mirpur area of the capital.
To this end, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday, January 1, between Tel Tails and ICC Communication to prepare the data centre infrastructure at SN Tower in Mirpur. The agreement was signed by ICC Communication Managing Director Saiful Islam Siddique and Tel Tails Managing Director Sajal Ahmed on behalf of their respective companies.
Following the signing ceremony, a cake-cutting event was held to mark the occasion. Speaking on the sidelines, the managing director of ICC Communication said the data centre is likely to be operational by the end of February. He noted that this would be the first state-of-the-art data centre of its kind in the Mirpur area.
Once operational, ICC Communication Limited will commercially launch co-location, cloud computing and hosting services through the facility, further strengthening the company’s role in Bangladesh’s growing digital ecosystem.
