Hosting.com to Expand Operations in Bangladesh, Formal Launch on January 14
Global hosting service provider Hosting.com has announced the expansion of its business operations in Bangladesh, with a formal launch event scheduled for January 14 at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka. The announcement was made in a press release issued on Thursday (January 1).
As part of the launch programme, a panel discussion will be held focusing on how open-source technologies and WordPress are driving digital innovation worldwide. The event will also feature a question-and-answer session and a networking segment.
Another dedicated session will highlight how Hosting.com’s operations in Bangladesh are expected to create new opportunities for customers, developers, and businesses, and how secure and scalable hosting services can further strengthen the country’s digital economy. The future potential of agencies, enterprises, and fast-growing digital businesses will also be central to the discussions.
According to the press release, senior executives from Hosting.com, local technology experts, and industry representatives will attend the inauguration ceremony. The company stated that its core objective is to ensure international-standard hosting services by combining local expertise with global experience. With a strong focus on open-source technologies and WordPress-based solutions, Hosting.com aims to provide developers, digital entrepreneurs, and both small and large businesses with secure, scalable, and reliable hosting services. Hosting.com’s Bangladesh Operations Manager, Imran Hossain, said that for the first time, an international hosting company is directly launching its operations in Bangladesh, calling it a milestone for the country’s technology sector. As a result, he said, local customers will be able to access international-standard services directly using local currency. Alongside keeping hosting services affordable for the general public, he added, the company is also committed to creating new employment opportunities in the sector. He further noted that Hosting.com’s presence will strengthen Bangladesh’s digital ecosystem and open new avenues for technology professionals.
Meanwhile, Hosting.com Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Seb de Lemos said that over the company’s 20 years of hosting experience, it has witnessed how open-source ecosystems powered by tools such as WordPress and Laravel have enabled thousands of digital entrepreneurs. In recent years, he added, the positive impact of these technologies has become clearly visible in Bangladesh as well.
He also said that the Dhaka launch is not merely an event, but a significant milestone in expanding reliable and high-speed hosting services in the Bangladeshi market.
