DMP Bans Drones Near Evercare Hospital
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on flying any type of drone over Evercare Hospital and its surrounding areas in the capital, citing public order and security concerns.
The decision was announced on Wednesday, December 24, by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division.
In a public notice, he said the restriction has been enforced under the authority granted by Section 28 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76). The ban came into effect on December 24 and will remain in force until further notice.
The DMP warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone operating drones in the restricted area without proper authorisation. The police also sought the cooperation of all concerned to ensure compliance with the directive in the interest of maintaining law and order.
