Victory Day Air Show Paints Dhaka Sky in Red and Green
A special air show is being held at Dhaka’s old Tejgaon Airport area to mark the Great Victory Day, turning the sky into a vibrant canvas of colours.
The aerial display began around late morning on Tuesday, December 16, with military aircraft and helicopters performing breathtaking manoeuvres across the skyline. Starting at around 11:30 am, participating aircraft released streams of colourful smoke, prominently featuring the red and green of the national flag alongside other hues.
Helicopters taking part in the display were seen flying with the national flag and the flags of the armed forces, adding to the patriotic spectacle. Multiple aircraft flew in coordinated formations, spreading red, green, blue, and yellow colours across the sky, drawing cheers and excitement from the gathered crowd.
The Victory Day air show created a festive atmosphere in the Tejgaon area, attracting a large number of spectators. Many attendees were seen carrying national flags, wearing headbands inspired by the red-and-green colours, or donning outfits emblazoned with Victory Day slogans.
The colourful aerial display stood as a powerful symbol of national pride, commemorating the spirit of Victory Day and celebrating Bangladesh’s sovereignty with a grand show of military precision and patriotism.
