The IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter is set to organize the 7th IEEE SCI International Conference on 11–12 December at the permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) in Purbachal American City. The event will be inaugurated by Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division.

Scientists from around the world will exchange insights on applying cutting-edge research in sustainable technology, computer science, electronics, textiles, robotics, and cyber-physical systems directly to industrial sectors in Bangladesh.

GUB Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin said the university is committed to sustainable development through research-driven solutions, human-centered innovation, and collaborative engagement among stakeholders. The theme of this year’s conference is “Technological Revolution in the AI Era and the Fear of Joblessness.”

He added that achieving sustainable development goals requires strengthened cooperation among academics, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers through appropriate industrial technologies.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin further noted that the conference will not only highlight technological progress but also ensure that such progress is guided by humane innovation. He emphasized that research-driven solutions are essential for achieving SDGs and effectively implementing Industry 5.0, and that GUB remains committed to this responsibility.

Conference Publication Chair and CSE Department Professor Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib stated that GUB is also organizing the international STI 2025 Conference, which focuses on sustainable industrial technologies. The platform aims to align advanced research in computer science, electronics, textiles, robotics, and cyber-physical systems with real-world industrial applications in Bangladesh.

The first STI Conference, hosted by GUB in Dhaka in 2019, brought together researchers, academics, and industry experts from more than 20 countries. By 2024, the number of participating countries rose to 40 as the event continued annually.
