A dedicated Investment Matchmaking Portal has been launched as a separate feature on the Invest Bangladesh website, under the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). The portal has been designed to connect local entrepreneurs with foreign investors, said Chaudhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of BEZA and BIDA.

A visit to the site shows a “B2B Matchmaking” tab prominently displayed at the top, next to the “One Stop Service” option. Upon entering the Matchmaking tab, users are asked whether they are an investor or an investment seeker, followed by login and registration options.

Entrepreneurs can register on the portal in three simple steps. First, they need to create an ID. Next, they must set up their entrepreneur profile, and finally, they create a project profile with essential business information.

Through the “All Projects” tab, users can access an integrated list of investment-ready projects across the country. Additionally, the Follow-up section provides a dedicated space for tracking all communications and connections in one place.

These tools have been designed to streamline investor–entrepreneur interactions and strengthen coordination in Bangladesh’s investment ecosystem.

Speaking to the media about the portal, BIDA Chairman Ashiq Mahmud said, “This portal has been developed to meet growing demand. Over the past year, local entrepreneurs frequently approached us seeking foreign investors. At the same time, foreign investors also came to us asking whether we could find Bangladeshi entrepreneurs for potential joint ventures. The problem was that no one knew each other. To solve this, we created a matchmaking platform on the BIDA website so they can easily connect.”
