Saint Martin Reopens to Tourists; All Travel Tickets Now Available on BDtickets

After a long wait, Bangladesh’s only coral island, Saint Martin, has reopened to tourists. From bus tickets to ship tickets, return passes, and travel permits—everything is now available on the online ticketing platform BDtickets.

BDtickets users can purchase tickets online any time, seven days a week. For assistance, they may call customer care at 16460. Updates, offers, and service details are also available on the official website and Facebook page of BDtickets.

This year, BDtickets received formal recognition as the only online ship-ticketing platform approved by the Bangladesh Tourism Board. Travelers purchasing ship tickets through the platform will automatically receive a travel pass. The platform also offers round-trip ticket options to ease travel planning, along with access to the best available fares—right from home.

Tourist travel to Saint Martin had been suspended from 1 February this year. The eight-square-kilometer island in the Bay of Bengal reopened for visitors from 1 November, with a three-month travel window running until January. As per the government circular, tourists may visit the island only during daytime in November, while overnight stays will be permitted in December and January.

This season, each ship heading to Saint Martin must maintain a fixed passenger limit. No tickets will be sold at the travel point, meaning advance online booking is mandatory. Travelers must ensure their name and date of birth match their national ID information. A hard copy of the ticket must be carried during the journey.
