A ‘July Memorial Corner’ has been inaugurated at the Telecommunication Staff College in Noljan, Gazipur—an institution under Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL)—to honor the participants of the July mass uprising. The memorial was unveiled on Saturday, 29 November, prior to the commencement of a training workshop organized for BTCL officials. The inauguration was led by Abdun Naser Khan, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.

Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alam Hossain, BTCL Managing Director Md. Mamunur Rashid, Telecommunication Staff College Director General Dr. A.K.M. Golam Baharul, Joint Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division Md. Safiul Alam, Deputy Secretary B.M. Moshior Rahman, along with other senior officials, were present at the event.

In his address as the chief guest, the Telecom Secretary urged all concerned to continue working with dedication to harness the opportunities created for building a new Bangladesh following the July uprising.

Secretary Abdun Naser Khan emphasized that proper land management is essential at every level—from individual to institutional. He noted that Bangladesh is a densely populated country with limited land, making it effectively a “land-hungry nation.” Therefore, he said, land management must be given utmost priority. He added that effective land management will open new avenues of opportunity throughout the country.
