MIST Hosts ‘Robolution 2025’ and International RAICon Conference

To foster innovation, advance technological excellence, and promote future-focused research, the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) hosted the two-day event “Robolution 2025” on its campus. Alongside, the 4th IEEE International Conference on Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things (RAICon) was also held.

At the conference, teams from various universities across the country showcased remarkable engineering design, technical expertise, and creativity through events such as drone racing and Battle of Bots. Poster presentations, project showcases, and the Robo Olympiad further highlighted the innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and research-oriented mindset of young participants.

In the Robolution competitions, TH Battle Bot 4 emerged as the champion in the Battle of Bots. Falcon Air won the drone racing competition, while Black Saber became champion in soccer bot. In the Cosmo Clinch Challenge, Bumble Bee claimed the top spot, and Team Zeno won the line-following race. Additionally, Design Dynamics won the VLSI design competition, and Sarika Jaman secured the championship in the Bangla robotics category.

The conference featured daylong technical sessions where local and international experts presented research papers and exchanged ideas on robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and IoT. Jointly organized by the MIST Robotics Club and the IEEE Bangladesh Section, these sessions served as a productive platform for researchers, academics, and industry specialists.

At the closing ceremony on 28 November, Major General Md Hassan-Uz-Zaman, Engineer-in-Chief of the Bangladesh Army, attended as the chief guest. He stated that innovation and technological leadership accelerate national progress, and the youth must contribute to building a technology-driven future Bangladesh through creative ideas and new solutions. He added that MIST is committed to enhancing research and technological excellence, and events like Robolution and RAICon will further inspire young innovators.

Participants expressed optimism that this festival will motivate them to work with renewed enthusiasm toward building a technology-driven Bangladesh. According to the organizers, the event will significantly accelerate the country’s progress in innovation, collaboration, and talent development within the technology sector.
