Fahim Mashroor Honoured ‘ICT Pioneer’
Bdjobs.com co-founder A.K.M Fahim Mashroor has been honoured with the title of ‘ICT Pioneer’ as the Brac Bank–The Daily Star ICT Awards marked its 10th anniversary this year.
At the same event, Foodpanda Bangladesh’s Managing Director and Co-founder Ambareen Reza was named ‘ICT Woman of the Year’, while Kamal Quadir, Founder and CEO of bKash Limited, received the ‘ICT Business Person of the Year’ award.
In the corporate categories, Daraz Bangladesh Limited, a concern of Alibaba Group, won the award for Digital Commerce, and Progoti Systems Limited’s ERP solution ‘TallyKhata’ secured the ‘ICT Start-up Award’. Ride-sharing platform Pathao earned a Special Recognition Award, and Augmedix Bangladesh was recognised as the ‘ICT Solution Provider of the Year’.
The awards were presented on 29 November at Sheraton Dhaka by Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud, Adviser to the Interim Government for Planning. The ceremony took place in the presence of The Daily Star’s Editor and Publisher, Mahfuz Anam.
AHM Hasinul Quddus Russel received the award on behalf of Daraz; Shahadat Khan represented TallyKhata; Rashed Mujib Noman accepted the award for Augmedix; and Pathao’s CEO Fahim Ahmed received the company’s honour.
