Click and Complain: Chattogram City’s ‘Amader Chattogram’ App to Empower Citizens

The Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) is set to launch a new mobile application titled “Amader Chattogram” on October 21, enabling city residents to easily submit complaints and suggestions. Through this app, citizens will be able to upload photos and report issues related to drainage systems, manhole covers, road potholes, waste management, waterlogging, dustbins, and canal blockages directly to the authorities.

The announcement was made by CCC Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain on Monday, October 13, during an event on the “Door-to-Door” waste collection initiative held at the Tigerpass CCC office. The event was also attended by Chief Conservancy Officer Captain Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Pronab Kumar Sharma, and Malaria and Mosquito Control Officer Md. Sharful Islam Mahi.

Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain stated, “On October 21, we will hold a discussion on the Door-to-Door project with key stakeholders. During the event, the new app ‘Amader Chattogram’ will be launched to make it easier for citizens to submit complaints and suggestions. Through this app, we aim to make civic services more efficient and citizen-friendly.”

He added, “‘Amader Chattogram’ will be monitored round-the-clock by designated officials. I myself will also be able to view citizen messages in real time. Information received through the app will be forwarded directly to the relevant department, and citizens will have access to necessary web links and related information within the app.”

Speaking about the initiative, CCC’s Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Muhammad Touhidul Islam said, “The app will soon be available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. We hope it will help ensure greater transparency and accountability in resolving civic issues.”
