DSE Delivers Digital Deal: 13 Brokerages Granted FIX Certification
Through Application Programming Interface (API) connectivity, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has granted FIX certification to 13 brokerage houses, enabling them to launch their own Order Management Systems (OMS).
The certified firms are: Apex Investment Limited, Bank Asia Securities Limited, EBL Securities PLC, Green Delta Securities Limited, ICB Securities Trading Company Limited, Islami Bank Securities Limited, NLI Securities Limited, NRBC Bank Securities Limited, One Securities Limited, SBAC Bank Investment Limited, Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited, Smart Share and Securities Limited, and UCB Stock Brokerage Limited.
At a ceremony held at the DSE Training Academy on Thursday, August 28, the certificates were handed over by Mominul Islam, Chairman of DSE. Also present were Mohammad Rahmat Pasha, Managing Director and CEO of UCB Stock Brokerage Limited, Minhaz Mannan Emon, DSE Director, Richard D’Rozario, ANM Hasanul Karim, Deputy General Manager of ICT Division, Saiyid Mahmud Zubair, Deputy General Manager of Product and Market Development Division, along with senior officials from DSE and the brokerage houses.

DSE noted that it initiated API-based BHOOMS in 2020. Following this, 65 brokerage houses applied for API connectivity with the Nasdaq Matching Engine to conduct transactions through their own OMS. With the addition of these 13 firms, a total of 39 brokerages have now been awarded FIX certification, of which 22 have already launched their systems through API connectivity.
