BotPolo Brings Breakthrough in Business Communication

In the realm of e-commerce and f-commerce, hundreds of customers inquire daily about products or services through websites and social media. However, as business owners cannot always remain online to respond instantly, customer dissatisfaction often arises. Many entrepreneurs, unable to cope with this overwhelming pressure, have even been forced to shut down long-running businesses.
To address this issue, young entrepreneurs Rakib Islam and Joseph Ahsan from Nilphamari have developed a new chatbot called BotPolo. This automated messaging assistant was inaugurated on Thursday, August 28, by Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate (Nazarat and Treasury Branch) Sayeed Muhammad.
The inventors explained that once business owners feed detailed information about their products and services into BotPolo, the system will automatically provide accurate responses to customer queries. As a result, business owners will no longer need to stay online constantly, while customers will receive immediate answers.
During the launch event, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Sayeed Muhammad remarked, “In the present time, almost everything is operated through AI. This initiative of young entrepreneurs undoubtedly deserves appreciation. E-commerce plays a vital role in our economy. Many business owners struggle to manage customers, something I have personally experienced. ‘BotPolo’ will be a cost-effective and efficient solution for entrepreneurs.”
Entrepreneur Rakib Islam noted, “Many business owners get exhausted by responding to hundreds of messages every day. It wastes time, increases mental stress, and still leaves customers unsatisfied. ‘BotPolo’ offers an easy solution to this problem. Customers will always receive automatic replies, and business owners can continue their operations with peace of mind. At present, it works on WhatsApp, Telegram, and websites. We are in the process of integrating it with Facebook pages, which will be completed very soon. Then, customers’ queries will be answered promptly across all platforms.”
He further explained that such an automated messaging assistant could bring significant change for small and medium entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. Since most entrepreneurs manage their businesses single-handedly without the capacity to maintain a dedicated customer service team, the burden is immense. Receiving 200 to 300 messages daily is not uncommon for a small entrepreneur. Failure to respond in time risks losing customers. With this system, entrepreneurs will be able to focus more on sales.
The inventors believe BotPolo will open a new horizon in customer service within the country’s online business sector.
Also present at the event were associate entrepreneurs Abu Adnan Siddique, Rahidul Islam Rony, Rokonul Haque Shuvo, Rasel Khan Hridoy, and Sujan Islam Sanjid, who elaborated on the mechanism and benefits of the chatbot to the attendees.
