BIDA Unveils Revamped Website to Streamline Investment Experience
The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has officially launched its newly redesigned website, aimed at facilitating investment infrastructure and enhancing the overall experience for investors.
The announcement was made in a press release issued by BIDA on Saturday, 28 June.
According to the release, the upgraded platform places special emphasis on sectors identified as promising in BIDA’s FDI heatmap. The website now features key services for investors, comprehensive policy guidelines, and updated contact details of designated focal points across various ministries and investment-related agencies. In addition to the website revamp, BIDA’s logo has also been redesigned.
Commenting on the launch, Nahiyan Rahman Rochi, BIDA’s Business Development Officer, stated, “International investors typically evaluate and shortlist potential sectors based on information available on the investment authority’s website before making decisions about a country.”
He further added, “Platforms like this play a crucial role in providing investment-related information, responding to investor queries, and showcasing the country’s competitive advantages. A well-organized website can initially determine whether an investor will express interest in a country or consider other alternatives. For this reason, BIDA’s new website has been designed with the investor journey in mind—from opportunity exploration to market evaluation and finally, successful implementation with a connected ecosystem.”
BIDA Executive Chairman (Minister of State) Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun remarked, “The previous BIDA website resembled a standard government portal and was not adequately equipped to actively support investment. This new platform aligns with our commitment to a service model that is investor-centric, built on clarity and strategic engagement.”
