CUET Cancels Courses: Exams Suspended Amid Student Strikes
Considering the ongoing movement of engineering students pressing for five demands, the authorities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have suspended all examinations scheduled between September 1 and September 4.
The announcement was made through a notice signed by Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Registrar (Additional Duty), on Thursday, August 28.
The notice stated: “In view of the prevailing situation in the country and the application of students, the examinations have been suspended as per the decision of a meeting presided over by the Vice-Chancellor. The dates and schedules for the postponed examinations will be announced later as per departmental regulations.”
The university administration further clarified that, “In the current circumstances, it is not possible to conduct the examinations, hence the decision has been made.”
