Bubly’s 'Moyna' Makes Waves, Tops YouTube Trending List
It’s no surprise that Bubly is once again trending. On Sunday, August 3, the actress shared a photo from Roosevelt Island, USA, that quickly went viral—overshadowing even some major political events of the day, according to many observers.
A day later came another revelation: Bubly’s debut music video "Moyna" has soared to the top of YouTube’s trending list in Bangladesh.
Released on July 29 via Gaanchill Music’s YouTube channel, the video reached the number one trending spot within just six days of its debut—an achievement that’s both rare and noteworthy. As some fans humorously remarked, “It’s as if the romantic waves of Roosevelt have crashed onto the shores of YouTube, riding on Moyna!”
The film-style music video features Bubly dancing alongside actor-director Sharaf Ahmed Jibon.
The song is performed by Konal and Niloy, with composition and music by Kolkata’s Akash Sen and lyrics by Asif Iqbal.
The screenplay and direction were handled by Tanim Rahman Anshu, with choreography by Khaled Mahmud. Speaking about the project, Anshu said, “We didn’t cut any corners on this production. Even though it’s not a film song, we made it with the scale and emotion of cinema. The incredible audience response is the result of our team’s tireless efforts.”
