Elon Musk Announces Starship’s Mars Mission with Tesla’s Optimus Robot

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, has announced that Starship will embark on its journey to Mars by the end of 2026, accompanied by Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus. He shared this information in a post on social media platform X on Friday, as reported by Reuters.
Musk further stated that a human landing on Mars could be possible by 2029, but if the initial mission proves successful, it might become a reality around 2031.
Starship is currently SpaceX’s most advanced rocket technology, designed for satellite deployment and future colonization of Mars. On March 6, SpaceX successfully completed the eighth test launch of Starship at Boca Chica, Texas.
According to Musk, Tesla’s Optimus robot will be fully functional for factory operations by 2024. Additionally, with Donald Trump returning to the U.S. presidency, there is speculation that NASA’s focus might shift from lunar exploration to Mars missions, potentially creating new opportunities for SpaceX.
