Unify App Triumphs at Chattogram Youth Startup Summit
Unify App has been crowned the champion of the Chattogram regional round of the Youth Innovation Challenge at this year’s Youth Startup Summit, earning a prize of BDT 300,000. The team impressed judges with its concept for a unified application process for university admissions across Bangladesh.
The first runner-up position went to EzzyGo, which won BDT 200,000 for its eco-friendly delivery service concept, while RoadBook BD secured the second runner-up spot with BDT 100,000 for proposing a safe, hassle-free, fast, and affordable transportation solution for women.
The competition was held on Saturday (February 22) at Chattogram Independent University (CIU), where winners were announced by Dr. Syed Manzoor Quader, Dean of CIU Business School. ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury awarded the prizes to the top teams, commending their innovative contributions.
The event also saw participation from key industry figures, including Fahim Mashroor, Co-founder and CEO of BDJobs; Nabila Nowrin, Co-founder and CEO of Moar Space Limited; Fahad Ifaz, Co-founder of iFarmer; and Anayet Rashid, Founder and CEO of Truck Lagbe.
Throughout the day-long challenge, shortlisted startups showcased their groundbreaking ideas, with teams like LoopBag, EzzyGo, Grokky, RoadBook BD, Khelbu, UApp, BIT, and Todbhob presenting their pitches.
A masterclass titled “Startup Fundamentals: Building and Scaling a Business” was conducted by Mirza Salman Hossain Beg, Founder of EnduringX, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with essential insights into business growth strategies. The event also featured a panel discussion, “From Idea to Impact: The Startup Journey,” moderated by Arafatul Islam Akib, Founder of Startup Chattogram.
The Youth Startup Summit 2025, organized by the ICT Division and facilitated by Startup Bangladesh Limited, aims to inspire and empower young entrepreneurs across the nation. As part of a month-long series of events across five divisions, the Chattogram round followed successful competitions in Rajshahi, Sylhet, and Khulna.
Speaking at the award ceremony, ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury said, “With Chattogram’s round now complete, we look forward to the grand finale of the Youth Innovation Challenge, scheduled for February 28 at the BCC in Dhaka.”
