Leading artificial intelligence company OpenAI has announced plans to open a new office in Germany. According to a press release issued on Friday, the company is set to begin operations in Munich in the coming months, as reported by TechCrunch.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated, “Germany is renowned for its technical expertise, academic excellence, and industrial innovation. By launching our first office there, we aim to help more people, businesses, and organizations harness the potential of artificial intelligence.”

The press release further revealed that OpenAI has been in discussions with German authorities since 2023 regarding the establishment of a satellite office. Germany has the highest number of OpenAI users, paid subscribers, and AI API developers in Europe.
