Carnival Internet got the first ticket for the semis in the ISPAB Cricket Tournament
The first ISPAB cricket tournament is going on at Shyamoli Club ground in the capital. The third day of the five-day tournament took place on Saturday as Carnival Internet secured a ticket to the semis by defeating BTRC Sixers in the first quarter-final.
After winning the toss and scoring 14 runs with the bat, the opening batsman of BTRC Sixers, Rajib, was caught by Mahbubur Rahman Ahad on the second ball of the second over. After coming to the crease, Tabarak Islam scored a half-century from 24 balls despite losing two teammates. He was bowled out for a personal 63 runs when he played Zahid's ball after completing his team's century for 3 wickets. After that, even though wickets fell at regular intervals, Carnival Internet collected 163 runs for seven wickets in the scheduled 16 overs.
In response, the two opening batsmen of BTRC Sixers, Rezaul-Arijit Sikdar, made a good start, but in the second over, Rezaul made a duck after being clean bowled by Shamim. BTRC Sixers crossed the century by four wickets in the eleventh over. In the 13th over, Manik struck the perfect blow in the BTRC camp. BTRC Sixers lost all the wickets to score 119 runs. As a result, Carnival Internet won by 44 runs. Tabarak Manik was man of the match after bowling four overs with excellent batting and getting two wickets.
ISPAB President Md. Imdadul Haque handed over the Man of the Match award to him. Secretary General Nazmul Karim Bhuyan, Tournament Committee Joint Convener Md. Asaduzzaman Sujan were present at that time.
Before this, ADN Telecom and Digi Jadoo advanced to the quarter-finals after winning the first match.

In the second game of the day, Rangpur Riders won the toss and scored 87 runs in the allotted 16 overs. In reply, Digi Jadoo Broadband Limited scored 87 runs for the loss of just three wickets.
