BUET Holds Pre-Admission Test for 2024-25 Academic Year in Three Shifts Today
The pre-admission test for the 2024-25 academic year at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is scheduled to take place today, Thursday, January 23, in three shifts. BUET has already published the shift schedule and roll numbers of candidates on its official website.
According to the announcement, the test will be conducted as follows:
- Shift 1: Candidates with roll numbers 40001 to 48071 will sit for the exam from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
- Shift 2: Candidates with roll numbers 60001 to 68070 will appear from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
- Shift 3: Candidates with roll numbers 70001 to 78070 will take the test from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Earlier, on December 24, the list of 24,205 eligible candidates for the pre-admission test was published. The online application process for BUET admission began on November 30, 2023, and ended on December 14 at 11:59 PM. The initial application fee was set at BDT 500.
Approximately 26,000 students submitted their preliminary applications by paying the required fee, from which 24,205 candidates were shortlisted for the pre-admission test.
This year, BUET has a total of 1,309 seats, including three reserved seats for indigenous candidates from the Chittagong Hill Tracts and other regions for engineering and urban and regional planning departments, and one reserved seat for the architecture department.
